barbeque set

we're all so busy these days, all doing our own things, at different stages in our careers and lives, and scattered all over the place. but sometimes, our paths manages to cross again, and we meet up for a hour, a hurried dinner that is nonetheless filled with warm and fuzziness.

- baz, spending a whole year in ballarat doing anaesthetics, charming his consultants with his tales of the racetrack, stoked about driving the medical car at the formula 1 this year ("how fast does the car go?" "oh not that fast, i won't be going much faster than 200k's")

- brumbles, well and truly counting down towards d-day, studying her butt off for the physicians' exam

- chi, still on cruise control but feeling a little uneasy about it, tries to figure out how to study again after 4 years off...

- min, at the end of her first week as an advanced trainee in geriatrics, is having niggling doubts about whether it will be enough to stimulate her for the rest of her career. and she's incredibly annoyed about "the whole research thing". what subspecialty should she get into? the rest of us immediately suggest: (in) continence

- xiang, also starting advanced training in geriatrics, but first-up doing palliative care consults. a little heart broken after the latest episode of parents meddling, but at least her zouk loves her (and is growing up at an incredible rate)...

we gossiped about the others and bitched about the system. ahh... i love group a. and i love korean barbeque.
